    Eburg First Friday Art Walk featuring Gabrielle Bates, Xavier Cavazos, J.I. Kleinberg, Eugenia Hepworth Petty, & Nance Van Winckel.

  • Gallery One, 408 N Pearl. An Archival Idyll, featuring the chapbooks of Jampa Dorje, published by D Press & Kapala Press.

7-9pm:

  • Hal Holmes Community Center, 201 N Ruby, adjacent to the Ellensburg Public Library, Family Poetry Night.

7pm-whenever:

  • Barnstorm at Bluestone Garage, on 2nd Avenue (between Pearl & Pine). Art, live music, dancing, cash bar!

SATURDAY, APRIL 8

  • Ellensburg Community Radio, 420 N Pearl. Live radio broadcast. OPEN MIC.

  • Troutwater, 425 N Pearl. This Land, This Water––poems about nature, wilderness, and solitude, featuring Peter Ludwin, Lisa Norris, & Allen Braden.

 

2–2:45 pm: 

  • Gallery One (Ceramic Studio), 408 N Pearl. Conjuring Presence: Writing Epistolary Poems––craft talk presented by Nancy Pagh.

  • 420 Building, 420 N Pearl (upstairs). OPEN MIC.

  • Ellensburg Public Library, 201 N Ruby. Poems for Kids––fun poems, silly poems, limericks and more, presented by Perri the Poetry Fairy.

 

3–3:45 pm: 

  • Gard Vintners, 311 N Pearl. Lament, Love & Limerence––poems that tug the heart, featuring Erin Malone, Ciara Shuttleworth, & Megan Snyder-Camp.

  • Hal Holmes Community Center, 201 N Ruby, adjacent to the Ellensburg Public Library. Poetry Out Loud ––poems recited by regional high school students. OPEN MIC.

  • Iron Horse Brewery, 412 N Main. Justice, Difference, & Resistance––poems that resonate with the cultural climate, featuring Mark J. Fuzie, Roberto Ascalon, & Lorna Dee Cervantes. Age 21 and over.

  • Blue Rock Saloon, 404 N Pine. Sex, Death, & Marie Antoinette––poems about clouds, travel, trembling mice, and, well, sex and death, featuring Susan Rich, Keetje Kuipers, &
    WA State Poet Laureate Tod Marshall. Age 21 & over
